Work2Go 2012-02: Signatures
|
20 March 2012
An email signature is a customized text, that is automatically inserted at the bottom of every message you send. It usually contains of the contact information and sometimes even a logo, image or a fitting quote. A signature will give your message both a personal touch and a more professional look. Therefore, I will take this opportunity to remind you all who don't already have a signature to create one. For you who already have one, I would like to inform you that you can create several if you want.
Make a stylish signature
In Work2Go you can choose between using a formatted signature or a signature with just plain text. If you choose to create a formatted signature, you can choose from different fonts, colours, add a photo or logo and create links to your website.
A signature in plain text might look a little dull. But the great advantage of using a plain text signature is that the information is always visible. For example, a signature with an image will sometimes need to be approved by the recipient first, before it will be visible.
Create multiple signatures
You can create multiple signatures in your account. There is actually no limit to how many you can save. If you have multiple personas, ie different email addresses set up to reply from which are all linked to one and the same account, you can create different signatures for each persona. This can for example be useful when you reply to business emails or private ones.
Logging in with the Advanced version
I should also add that you will have the best functionality in Work2Go if you log in using the advanced Ajax based version. Only if you're using a very slow Internet connection or using an old browser, logging in with the Standard (HTML) version. If you do have an old browser in your computer, I do recommend you to update it as soon as possible. Not only for increased functionality, but first and foremost to protect your computer as much as possible on the Internet.
